Abstract

More than 30 years ago when Sweden became the first country to legislate against aerosols for damaging the ozone layer and the Polish writer Isaac Bashevis Singer received the Nobel Prize for Literature, the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador headquarters Ibarra (PUCESI) founded the Institute of Tourism and
Hotel Administration.

The objective at that time was to offer the degree to those who knew that, with studies in hospitality and tourism, they would fulfill their professional dreams. More than thirty years ago, the first step was taken in the modernization of tourist activity in the province of los lagos.
